All of the major real estate websites include the ability to host a virtual tour. They are not always easy to find, and when found they don’t always link to a virtual tour, but may link to a video or slideshow. Sometimes the link may open a new window and provide a variety of resources. Either way it is important to be able to find where this information is stored and can be accessed. I will show you where you can find this link in Zillow, Redfin, Trulia and Realtor websites. I will also include an example image of each one.
Zillow has a menu below the description of the property. The second menu choice is “Facts and features”. Select this item and then scroll down to the category called “interior details”. The last bullet point item is Virtual tour: and may include a hyperlink button called “View virtual tour”. Click it and a new window opens and reveals the virtual tour, another website or whatever the realtor decided to link to this button.

Once you have searched for the property on Redfin, click on the “property details” button in the menu or just scroll all the way down the page until you get to the property details section. The first section within Property Details is the Virtual Tour section (plus other items). There is a hyperlink button called “Virtual Tour”. This will open another window in the browser where you can view whatever was linked, hopefully a virtual tour.

In the Trulia website, scroll down past the Description until you reach the Home Details section. There is a button which is simply called “See Virtual Tour”. Just click this button and a new tab in the browser will open with the virtual tour.

Realtor.com makes it even easier by including a button, “VR Tour”, in the image of the home. Like the other websites, click this button and a new browser tab will open and the virtual tour will open.

Well that’s all there is to it. Now you know how to find the virtual tour on any of the real estate websites. Or do you actually find a virtual tour? Remember I indicated that a virtual tour is not always included in this link. Presumably, these sites designed this button to connect to a virtual tour. But they designed the button and the link to actually link to whatever the user (realtor) would like to post. Per my previous post, I suggested that different markets and different agents require or rely upon different resources (check out my previous blog article here: Are You Benefiting From The Latest Technology-Virtual-Tours) so these websites allow them to choose what they prefer to link to. My next blog article, I will discuss and clarify slideshow videos with videos and virtual tours.
